Vantaggi
- Great coworkers - Free lunch (Costco frozen food and instant noodles)
Svantaggi
- Management knowingly violates CA labor laws. They refuse to pay CA overtime rate and would transfer whatever extra hours you work to your sick time. - Management lies about company benefits. They claim to provide 11 paid-holidays, in reality it's only 6. Even accounting for company parties which happens 2-3 times annually for half day, it only amounts to 1.5 days, for a total of 7.5 days of 'paid-holiday' per year. Where do the 3.5 days go? - Inaccurate time-keeping system. Company installed a software on employees' computers that clocks in when the computer is fully booted. Problem is the computers take 5-10 minutes to boot up, and CEO would accuse employees for being late due to this delay. To avoid regular harassment and accusations from the CEO, employees repeatedly request a time clock machine, but always refused by the CEO. - Employees have to chase management to have them pay for software licenses. Employees usually end up paying out of their own pocket. - CEO is rude, toxic, and has the emotional stability of a toddler. He would regularly throw tamper tantrums over trivial inconveniences. He would shout and scold employees after spending 2 seconds reading an email, only to shrug it of with "just checking" after being explained that everything is fine. This happens regularly, almost like a company culture. - CEO micromanaged everyone, down to their choice of word in an email. - CEO would change his mind daily. Would tell you to do one thing, changes his mind the next day and blames you for doing what he told you to do the previous day. - Very low pay compared to job market. - High employee turnover rate. Employees typically stay for 1 year or less, only staying until they find another job. Only 2 employees have worked here for 10+ years (1 being remote) out of 30+ employees that have come and go over the years.
