      "If Danny (CEO) is happy then everyone is happy" mentality and direction. That is the most ridiculous concept I've ever heard!!!! Everyone that works there is afraid of the CEO. Childish behavior from the top down. I do not believe in how they treat people there and the only reason they even have a business is because the coffee can sell itself. The CEO related me to a "trained monkey" from the second time talking to him during my onboarding meeting where we were discussing values and mission statement, ironic huh? Extremely relieved to have had the courage to walk out of that horrific place on my own terms.

      One free drink per shift, and free drip. Good discount on coffee beans. Can purchase interesting coffee through parent company at a good discounted rate as well.

      Often limits creativity for drink creation. Needs of baristas can go long overlooked (i.e. equipment that would make our job safer and/or easier) Customer service. When the minimum wage got raised to $15 an hour, they opted to start considering us tipped workers so as to avoid meeting the new minimum wage. As far as I've heard, newer employee's base-pay are now lower than the previous minimum wage was.
