I’ve been working at the company for over five years and have been fortunate to experience a variety of roles—from being a Social Media Manager to leading a team. I’ve experienced many phases of the company, and from a managerial perspective, I would say there has been a noticeable decline over time. Vertical growth within a role can be quite challenging, as it often depends heavily on the projects assigned by your direct manager rather than a clearly defined career path. Job stability can also feel uncertain at times. There is a possibility of being reassigned to a different role or division with little notice, and in some cases, layoffs may occur without much warning. I’ve also come across situations where individuals were hired for specific projects and later let go once those projects ended, even when performance was not an issue. Another downside is the lack of employee benefits beyond the base salary. Essential work-related expenses, such as internet, laptops, electricity, insurance, and taxes, are fully managed and covered by employees themselves. This creates an additional financial and logistical burden, especially in a remote work setup where these tools and services are fundamental to performing the job. From a managerial standpoint, there is often a lack of transparency regarding key developments within the company and even within our own division. Teams can feel left in the dark about important decisions, including project restructuring, organizational changes, or shifts in overall strategy. Communication from direct managers and leadership is not always consistent or clear, which can make it difficult to fully understand the reasoning behind these changes or to plan effectively moving forward. The company appears to be shifting toward a stronger focus on profitability and efficiency with AI, sometimes at the expense of prioritizing its people. This change can be felt in how decisions are made, with business outcomes often taking precedence over employee experience, growth and long-term development.
