For a freelance, part-time gig, it pays decent. To add, your pay is fixed for the first two months of work, which gives employees the incentive to learn everything their tasks demand.

However, for a tech company, their payment system is just terrible. Their Wise went down for reasons not adequately explained to us, and we had to make lots of adjustments to get paid, including opening Payoneer accounts because they cannot transfer to banks anymore.

Salary is good ig at first.

A lot of instability and poor long-term management. At first, employees were told there was an issue with the client, which led to a mass layoff even though the project itself did not last a year. Not long after that, some former workers were contacted again for the same project including me but under new contracts with worse terms each time. I was later offered a freelance reviewer role, but with fewer people remaining, the workload increased significantly. The pay was decent during that period because compensation depended on output. However, when the company once again claimed the project had ended, the same pattern repeated, workers were rehired under different contracts with lower pay and heavier expectations. The workload itself was also frustrating. As a reviewer, a large portion of the job involved heavily correcting poor-quality annotations, sometimes to the point where it felt like you were fully redoing the annotators’ work instead of simply reviewing it. Overall, the company felt very unstable and transactional toward employees. It gave the impression that workers were easily replaceable and that contracts would continuously worsen whenever projects slowed down. I would not recommend it for long-term employment. It may only be suitable as a temporary short-term job if you urgently need income.
