I do not understand how people advance in this company. In order to be a Team Leader, you have to have a Masters Degree but you can be promoted to every other pay grade with only a bachelors. You do not not even have to be licensed. It seems it is more about who you know and less about your qualifications. Where they do that at? Can someone help me understand why Thresholds act as if they do not know how staff is meeting these ridiculous productivity standards when they know good and well that they are the very ones who have taught us how to bill "creatively." Thresholds, when you have to answer to your bosses, don't turn a blind eye and act as if you didn't train us this way. Stop playing the dumb role and own your mess! Can someone help me understand why Thresholds refuses to pay employees what they deserve? The pay at Thresholds is horrendous. Soon, the McDonald's crew members will be passing us right on up! I am disgusted by how Thresholds use their clinical staff. Those with professional licenses are paid a few extra thousand dollars, however Thresholds is infamous for adding extra responsibilities without compensation. Then, because they can, they say these extra duties are under "other duties." If this isn't wrong, I don't know what is. Thresholds scream to the heavens about being fair and socially aware. Well why don't you start that practice with your staff ? Start a pilot program about that since we are so well known for being innovative. Let's innovate in the area of staff financial and emotional well-being. Then you wonder why you lose good people! Can someone tell me why Thresholds continue to be top heavy by hiring all these unnecessary people to do seemingly stupid tasks yet they cannot provide us with a cost of living increase? For example, we have a new position posted called Director of Total Rewards. What the hell is a Director of Total Rewards? Can't you add this to "other duties" of someone's already high paying job like you do the rest of us??? Can someone tell me why we are the largest mental health agency in Chicago but we have NO PSYCHIATRY???? This makes no sense!!!! It's like being a bed and breakfast with no bed and no breakfast! And please stop with the "Jenny the Giraffe" stories! Staff nor members can afford half the stuff that Jenny the Giraffe is doing and to be honest, it's a constant reminder and slap in the face about how underpaid we really are. Last month, That Giraffe caught a flight to see her family for the holidays. Well Giraffe, that must be nice but Thresholds staff is trying to figure out how they will feed their families for the next week . We are living paycheck to paycheck. We don't have extra money just lying around to do those things. We can barely meet our primary needs. I suggest you study Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. You will learn that one must have food, shelter, and security before being able to do any of the things you are able to do. Another thing...You should take a stroll in the life and day of a Thresholds worker where you are constantly going into high crime neighborhoods. As a matter of fact, let me ask you a question. Have you gone to visit a member only to find out on the 5 o'clock news that a shoot out on that very same block took place right after you left? Have you ever been carjacked while on the job? Do you ever have to choose between gas and lunch? No? Well when you do, then you can come talk to me! Until then, BYE JENNY!
