Your typical early stage start-up, growing fast but isn't too much that you can't handle. Exciting work and heaps of potential. The people there are generally very friendly and sociable.

Diversity in this company is basically non-existent, and the culture is predominantly nailed down to stereotypical white Aussie culture (I mean no surprise, given the entire Australian and UK team are white, like I'm not even kidding). If you don't look like the typical live music/events gig-goer, prepare to be overlooked like hell. They also appear to have a customer support team in the Phillipines but during my time there, I've never once seen those guys or heard anything from them. Could've sworn at one point I heard the founders talking smack about the Filipino team.

I joined Tixel a few years ago in a generalist type role and have had incredible support from my managers to grow into new and exciting positions. There is a great culture of feedback and recognition, with everyone celebrating the wins. I couldn’t recommend tixel more as a place to be challenged and supported. Tixel is truly a remote friendly and flexible company, with many staff totally remote. They really seem to understand and respect that people have lives outside of work.

Working across multiple timezones can be challenging, but this is recognised and we have a company day off once a month which helps to make up for some out of hours work - it’s also part and parcel of working at a rapidly growing startup, and is part of the fun.
