Chris, in particular, is emblematic of the worst kind of management: a bully who retaliates when people offer honest feedback and fosters a culture of fear instead of trust. Don’t be fooled by the smiles and startup buzzwords. Fake Promises, Real Burnout: Charlie, the head of Sales, frequently makes grand promises about career development and growth for his reps, but his words are empty. Working here is an uphill battle against a constant headwind of so-called 'change'—directionless, disruptive, and rarely for the better.
