Middle management micromanages their employees, and upper management is so out of touch, they would be hard pressed to tell you what any employee's role actually is. Rounds of lay-offs further decreased morale, nobody feels their job is safe, and raises aren't nearly as good as they used to be. They barely keep up with inflation.
