Management seems to be an "old boys club", promoting those with most time with the company versus those with the relevant experience/educational background. A lot of tradespeople in managerial roles who struggle with technology, leading technology-driven teams. Onboarding is weak. Very little training is given to new employees for their roles - a "sink or swim" mentality. If you are not a self starter you will struggle. Company is full of legacy employees, 30-40 year people who are resistant to change.
