At first it was a good experience, I learned routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF hands on and gained certifications. Also learned some troubleshooting skills in physical and logical. The main downside is the 13 hrs shift and the management of NOC, the Manager and the Assistant Manager does not trust their team. Always asking to do unnecessary things when they're not in the office because they think that when they're not around, the team is also not doing their tasks. They are also strict with leaves, when filing for a VL, they will ask you where you will go and ask for proof that you are really on a vacation. If not, the VL will not be approved. The SL is also not approved because the Assistant Manager is saying that the person is not really sick and the SL is not true. The Assistant Manager also expects you to learn everything he teaches, you are not allowed to forget what he taught you because he will just say, I taught this to you already. The 13 hr shift consists of a 1 hr break, but the Manager, Assistant Manager, TL and Assistant Team Lead over breaks, estimated 4 hr break per day while they are strict on the Network Engineers on the 1 hr break. They are also not open to suggestions, I had a colleague that suggests how to improve the network of TIM but the Manager only says "We'll discuss this later" which never happened, they are the only ones that are right. When it comes to awards, they have favoritism. They gave an award to their favorite employee and not the hardworking ones. They also like to scold you in front of many if you make a mistake, for instance, you forgot to acknowledge their message, they will scold you infront of your colleagues and other department just to prove their point. When it comes the the TL and the Assistant TL, they are only passing the job to the Network Engineers, why do they have that title to begin with? They should LEAD projects not pass them to lower ranked employees. The pay is low, the management is trash, not worth staying for long. You should only want to gain experience here for a year and not any longer.
