Trace Solutions: The company is completely run by elderly people who are mostly averse to technological progress, which is damning for a software company. There is a lot of hypocrisy, whereby working at home is prohibited for most employees although management can seemingly work from home anytime they want regularly. From what I gather, most other employee's like myself are heavily underpaid and then there are those that have been at the company for a while who are severely overpaid. Solutions likes to preach the "family atmosphere" as a reason that people should continue working for them, which I and others don't feel is a good enough reason to underpay staff. The younger generation entering the company are leaving shortly after, which the senior management put down to them not being able to hold down a job, which simply isn't the case. Everyone who has left has been offered better deals elsewhere. There are next to no company benefits, including no annual bonus, 22 days annual leave (increasing by 0.5 days a year to 25 days), if you wasn't employed when the employee share scheme started you don't get any shares in the company (even if you did, you wouldn't receive a payout for them when you leave). The "sports and social club" which all staff pay £4 out of their monthly salary for is organised by old people, with boring activities occurring maybe 3/4 times a year. It feels like the company motto is "I'm not technical" which I overhear a lot. This is a software company, you should have some form of technical understanding! The TECH company is composed of 95% of non-technical staff, including no technical senior management whatsoever.
