Firstly - ignore all the 5 star reviews: these are left by staff members under duress - I personally witnessed this whilst working there. If you thought toxic, disorganised and dysfucntional workplaces didn't exist and were a thing of the past, think again. I was a firm believer that companies had embraced people values, culture had moved on, toxic workplaces no longer existed, and 1980s boiler room sales people were a thing of the past. How wrong I was. This company is the type of thing you read about in bad news and law suits - disorganised, toxic, chaotic, no clear purpose, no operational processes, no governance, no training materials, no new starter induction, no organised meetings, no meeting rooms, no HR or people policies, the bare legal minimum for paid holidays, working hours of 8am-6pm, no IT department, no IT equipment, no People/HR department, absolute zero regard for data protection, no CRM, no systems, zero tools to get your job done, no flexible working policy, no working from home, no parental leave, no sick pay should you genuinely fall ill, constant micro-management and undermining of every task you do, employees back-biting and undermining each other constantly, zero trust amongst colleagues, dull working environment, and unhealthy and unsustainable levels of pressure and toxicity. The main driver for all of the above is two-fold: a CEO who lacks any clear direction or basic understanding of how a company operates, as well as a small C-suite team/directors who are too fearful to say anything or change the culture. What this results in is a top-down, toxic culture throughout the company, breeded by the CEO. If you're applying for a role in this company, be aware that the CEO nor HR understand anything other than brute force, high-pressure sales tactics. The company is not ready for operations, governance, IT, HR, customer experience, marketing, etc - none of these functions truly exist. No matter what your role, junior or senior, your job will eventually boil down to one thing, and one thing only - basic admin tasks to bring cash in. You'll find numerous videos of the CEO online on YouTube - a couple of points to note: the person you see in the videos is not the same person you will meet in real life. The videos are all for publicity and to portray a positive image. Secondly, you'll note in the videos how he constantly mentions that the staff aren't following "the process". This is hilarious, given that there are NO processes because decisions are made on a whim, with no thought or logic, no data behind the decision. It was not uncommon for decisions to be made, changed, remade, and rolled out all in one day, only to be changed the next day. The longest period I witnessed a process exist for was a full four days before it was scrapped. I used to call these "toothbrush ideas" - ideas the CEO would randomly think of whilst brushing his teeth in the morning and thought they were a good idea. Finally, there is ZERO job security here. I witnessed numerous staff members being asked to leave on the spot, for something as minor as dress code or for speaking up in a meeting, or questioning something. Save your career, mental health and sanity and don't be tempted by the salary and smiles here during the interview process.
