Terrific mission: promoting walkable communities with excellent transportation choices. Terrific staff: strong investment in shared leadership and building capacity at all levels.

It's a nonprofit group that does advocacy, including a social justice focus, so fundraising is always a high priority and challenging.

Great coworkers. Kind, and fun to work with! People here are driven by a genuine commitment to the mission. Many have become my friends outside of work. Supportive and trusting atmosphere. I can't speak for all staff, but I've enjoyed a healthy work-life balance, and I would guess that most others do. Work schedules are flexible. Strong equity and inclusion practices. Overall a very positive experience over the years I've worked here. I've been able to grow immensely, professionally and as a person.

Pay is low compared to similar nonprofits in the Bay Area, but not extremely so. They are working on it.
