It's been over a year since my last day at this place. I held off writing a review for a long time as I've watched many bad reviews come in from my previous coworkers. However, there's something that I noticed hasn't been addressed and it was a major reason in my leaving. I was employed during the height of COVID. The way the owner addressed and navigated a global pandemic was completely careless and it became clear where her values were during this time. No one was allowed to work from home even when all of the work could be done remotely. We were asked to work in close quarters, in assembly lines all touching merchandise, sitting in meeting rooms, etc. When someone in the office did test positive, she would send out a company wide email just telling everyone to calm down. It was scary to watch her get a power trip out of belittling people in meetings. The things I would hear her say about her employees after hours when she thought no one was in the office were appalling. She once tried to give me advice and told me that I was "too nice" to be a good leader. Well, the best leaders that I've had in my life have been nice people. She is truly not a leader, and doesn't deserve to be one.
