Demoralizing Work Environment: Coming into TS I was extremely hopeful and I believed in the company and what I was doing. Willing to work hard, move up and make my mark within the company. Hard work and perseverance will not get you a mile with this company. It will likely not get you a promotion, a pay raise or any recognition. They severely undervalue their employees and if you are good at your job, chances are they will keep you there until you decide to leave. I applied for multiple promotions but was always beat out by an outside hire who was "more qualified". Almost every outside hire ended up leaving abruptly, whether it was by being let go or getting so fed up that they quit. I tried to prove my worth by taking on other peoples jobs and helping where I could but was always beat out of a promotion by someone lazier than me who had a good personal relationship with a higher up. Culture + Low Pay: Company culture is forced, awkward and cheap. No perks and no employee appreciation. After 3 years at this company, all I got was a "Certificate of Appreciation" and a plastic water bottle. I only got about a .25 cent raise the whole time I worked here. Pay grade is way too low for the amount of work and time they require (weekend work/no overtime - you adjust your hours for the following week and so you really end up with only 1 full day off some weeks). The CEO and higher ups will have you believing that change is on the horizon and will try to distract you with cheap company parities where they cater bad Mexican food and provide a couple kegs of beer (this is not an exaggeration, this was an actual employee appreciation holiday party). Company on Downward Spiral: I can't blame TS for the insultingly low pay and inability to properly and fairly show appreciation for the work employees do - this company is SUFFERING. They are financially functioning as a startup now with many clients who are not renewing their contracts. Higher ups who had been there since the company started began leaving, that's when you know its getting bad and to run for the hills. Field Services Department: Field Services coordinators work like DOGS and are very underpaid and very over stressed. Field Services managers all follow cookie-cutter management guidelines (micromanaging). They treat you like you are in kindergarten - someone is always checking in on you. In my opinion, the current managers in place are not management material. They seem to be more concerned with having power over people. Which is funny considering they maybe make a dollar or 2 more than the FS coordinators. There were a few managers who were actually great during my time here who were real assets to the company. People who cared about their jobs and TS. But due to similar issues of being undervalued and underpaid, they left and found better opportunities. High Turnover: Turnover rate is crazy high. Most people who start don't make it to a year. I was the idiot who stayed for 3 years, but a lot of new people who came in were much smarter than me and got out quick. People who started complaining about the company and saw the cracks in its foundation right away. Other new hires are still doe-eyed and hopeful that their entry level FSC job is a stepping stone to better things. I am here to tell you to not get your hopes up and start looking for other jobs that pay MORE. Workload: I wont lie, the job is easy - it doesn't take much brain power. But the tight deadlines cause unnecessary anxiety and stress and you are almost always doing your work in addition to someone else's work. The FSC position is a team job, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If the team is suffering, YOU are suffering. No such thing as individual work here. If you are okay with doing the same thing everyday and not interested in furthering your own personal goals and achievements, this is the place for you. No Transparency: This company is not very transparent with its employees. Everything is "top secret" until something sudden happens. If you are not in upper management, chances are you won't hear about major events going on in the company until its too late and they are going through another restructure. They recently tried to change that, but all that really is is the CEO walking around and telling us about potential clients who likely won't become actual clients. He will also distract you with "coworker bonding" by suggesting using the downstairs BBQ once a week - as if grilling carne asada on Thursdays is better than getting adequately compensated for your work.
