Hours (9 - 6), if you arrive after 9:00 or leave even 5 minutes before 6 you'll be shunned, it's frowned upon.
- Pair programming, makes sense to hash out a problem but 9-6 every day is exhausting, 70% of the work is CRUD you DO NOT NEED a pair for that.
- Quality of hires, the company is trying to grow way too fast and as a result they're hiring anyone without any regard for their actual skill or quality of work, rather they're hired based on "culture" fit.
- Toxic behavior, PM's that are micro managing to the point that they're bullying their team if they don't like them
- "Kudos", in the wise words for EA, "We want our employees to feel a sense of pride and accomplishment by working overtime/weekends/ with no breaks" the only way for you to earn a "kudos" is to work outside your regular hours to get things done.
- Work/Life, your work is your life. If you live outside the downtown core, you will have zero downtime for yourself.
- "Smart and Hungry", preached daily basically means if you aren't committing hours outside of work to your work you don't deserve to be at Tribalscale.
You work 45 hours a week, but they only pay for 40.
