Being there during a bankruptcy ESOP buyout was an awkward, low probability of success situation. Leadership came in from another industry and unsuccessfully tried to apply methods that worked elsewhere to our multiple LOBs.

My immediate supervisor and that supervisor's boss recognize my talent, work ethic, productivity and creativity with the most generous bonuses & raises available, and with copious praise. I love my co-workers! Despite the constant confusion of having a bankruptcy committee dictate daily operations (i.e., make plans & budgets, watch them get shot down, repeat), we have a great team culture and esprit d'corps. Too bad that people keep leaving. Soon I'll be one of them!

Totally lowballed on my salary when I took the job, so the generous raises and bonuses barely get me back to what I think should be my minimum total comp. Absolutely NO talent development, NO career path visibility, NO coaching or leadership development, NO opportunity for advancement or lateral moves. NO meaningful internal communication and NOBODY cares, that my team can see, from senior leadership.
