This company has an uncanny ability to hire wonderful people. Talented, friendly, caring, and hardworking. All of the employees there genuinely care about each other, and they genuinely want the company to succeed. It was a pleasure to get to know the other employees.

This company would be great, if not for the people running it. I tried hard throughout my time there to believe that the owners cared about their people as much as the people cared about the company, but they kept showing me over and over again they did not. Plus, if you are a woman, be prepared to deal with some serious sexism. A few things I encountered: - Sexist comments made by one of the owners of the company, calling women "over-emotional" and "paper-pushers" - Not paying commission to their sales people for EXTENDED periods of time, even though that commission was owed - Executives shutting down any and all attempts to create a good company culture. For example, penalizing people for talking to colleagues during the workday, or having breakfast when they arrived at the office in the break room - Executives dismissing ideas as "stupid" or "not realistic", only to bring up the same ideas in future meetings and claim them as their own - Paying people way below what they are actually worth, and then laughing at them when they ask to get paid more - Executives taking a dictatorship approach to their employees. When an employee was unhappy, demanding that they "keep their mouth shut and pretend to be happy and like the company" instead of trying to help them - Executives not understanding that people have lives outside of work. High expectations to work on the weekends or DURING a vacation, with NO additional compensation or overtime pay - Executives demanding unrealistic results while not providing the minimum resources needed to get there - Not drinking their own kool-aid. Spouting ideals about quality, honesty, and integrity, while providing below-par products to customers and not following through on promises made to clients and employees.

Boss brings his dog to work, everyone is friendly, great benefits package, pay is competitive, work outings are a +. TruShield executives and directors are avidly recognizing and rewarding talent at a rate I have not been exposed to in the past, the room for upward mobility is exponentially greater than past employers

Svantaggi

The dog is notorious for flatulence, previous employees have made it difficult to hold a good company name by leaving poor reviews strategically across what our customers look at.

- Enjoyed communicating and learning Owner who is more on Sales. Hes knowledgeable listens. Should have been more involved on tech side, but he knows his stuff and I learned from him. He gives a lot of great value to this company. - Enjoyed working with local staff who are all hard-working and spent a lot of extra hours doing their best.... - Enjoyed working with Professional Services Department. Super good guys and I learned a lot the few times that our tasks cross over. - Enjoyed working with Ops Director. He's smart hard-working, and stands up for his team. - Sales people seem good, new clients always coming in. -Exposure to a bunch of different technologies, this is great especially as a first job. -Great colleagues who cared. - Flexible work from home policy for most staff. - Good platform for career.

- Did not enjoy the arrogance and ignorance of certain individuals I won't go into details (there were a few bad apples in the past including)... - Did not enjoy the arrogance of some of the remote-based employees. Huge egos mememe attitude. . - Did not enjoy the period when insurance was cut off, some of the missed pay periods, lack of clear communications from owners to staff... - Not enough people with experience in firewall rule creation, firewall migrations, Cisco ASAs, 5505s, etc., Barracuda, WatchGuard XTMs etc., PAs, etc. - Kitchen not always fully equipped or well-cleaned, equipment sometimes missing to have a regular enjoyable lunch, this forced us to go out and eat more times than we would have liked as a team... the little things that matter.
