Vantaggi
Good software and systems, some nice discounts on clothes, some really talented people to work with
Svantaggi
- Slave drivers - no work/life balance - not people centric. They lie about “flexibility” and “caring about staff” to get you to join the business and then treat you very poorly - HR Policy changes implemented very suddenly, no consultation with staff members, and the attitude is “accept it or leave” unless you’re a favourite with management - Bad contracts. Their employment contracts are basic, and they don’t share any policies during onboarding around pay, flexibility and leave, so you get screwed over when you want to avail them and they can tell you anything they want about the policy - Gas lighting and blaming culture from management to staff members - take no responsibility for creating toxic, high pressure environment and driving resignations and claim the employee was bad - Very male dominant top level management - No career progression - some people have been in the same role for 5 years, barely $2K pay raise per year - Office is rundown and crappy even though you’re forced to work in there (clean out the fridge on level 2, food is rotting in it) - They refuse to accept anything is wrong within the business and retaliate against anyone who voices a concern - Below market salary even though you get overworked! - Upper management needs training on dealing with people of colour (so many microaggressions around culture, accent, etc), talking about mental health (a senior manager actually referred to someone as “mentally unstable” because they get therapy), and body diversity (stop calling people “tubby” - it’s not cute) - even their staff discount isn’t great for everyone because their staff inventory is not inclusive at all - barely any stock availability over size 14 in the staff portal, even if the brand carries larger sizes for retail
