The people at TDS are the best part of the company. There is a sense of positivity, support and friendliness that makes it a really awesome place to work. When I first joined the company, everyone was willing to take time to help me learn about both the technology we're developing and the markets that we serve. I didn't feel embarrassed about asking a potentially "dumb" question. The executive management team is action oriented and highly competent which inspires confidence that we will succeed as a company. At the same time, they are also open to feedback and willing to listen to junior level employees thoughts even on big picture strategy issues which is quite refreshing. There's lots of opportunity to grow and develop quickly. I've learned way more at this job than in my previous two jobs combined. The company provides free daily lunch which is deceptively good. Although it doesn't have the presentation of high-end restaurant, I find myself going back for seconds surprisingly often.

As with any startup, there is occasionally a healthy dose of chaos, but at the same time it's exciting to be somewhere so dynamic.

The technology being developed here is incredible. You will learn plenty working here, given the implication.

Upper management is completely detached from the actual work being done by the engineering team. Fails to effectively communicate with strategic business partners when setting expectations and giving updates on product feature timelines. Good luck receiving any of the promised year end bonuses or promotions. Never paid out on anything and gave a pathetic raise that didn't match inflation. They put no effort into improving how they operate. Extremely toxic work culture. If you aren't constantly defending your position as an engineer here, they will throw you under the bus and dispose of you. Workload and expectations do not align with the 24 hours we have each day. You will be expected to wear a multitude of hats and pick up slack by working insane hours to meet arbitrary deadlines. Very chaotic work culture. The CEO is entirely absent, living in LA commuting once a week or so. Surrounded by yes-men. Has a tendency to discriminate against people of color, those with disabilities, and the LGBT+ community as a whole. When he is in the office, he makes sure to touch you uninvited to display his masculine dominance over you. Absolutely repulsive behavior.
