-unsafe working conditions with no documentation for serious injuries. I received a bite from a camper and there was no documentation of the incident, no report to caregiver, no empathy. -leadership rly sucks. the seasonal leadership team is awful. they're all buddies and don't have the counselors best interests at heart. you bring up an issue to a leadership staff and it will often get dismissed or flat out ignored. -the hours are so long. it's typically a 16 hr workday. up at 6am, you're usually not in bed urself until 1130. -it depends on the summer, but this past summer the staff was super clique-y, and I felt hecka out of the loop and like they didn't even try and make an effort to be my friend. -laundry facilities are VERY limited. there are 3 staff washers, and 3 staff dryers. there is supposed to be a sign up sheet but no one ever follows it, and it's a mess trying to get ur washing done. -if ur not us3d to working w disabilities- I could see unpleasant odors really being a big issue.
