Svantaggi
Employees based in Tel Aviv are treated with far more consideration and respect than employees based in other countries One of the things that attracted me to Tufin as a company was that Tufin describes itself (on the Tufin website) as “a company that TRULY invests in its people." The account on the website goes on to state that "In... seven years here I’ve witnessed many occasions where upper management has gone out of its way to care for the personal and professional welfare of individual employees. The result is a family-like atmosphere - filled with understanding, teamwork and lots of fun”. I didn't experience anything resembling this when I worked for Tufin in the UK. I think that unconscious bias may be at play as the members of the London office were treated less well than the employees in Tel Aviv. When I worked in the London office, the London team were told that the office was being relocated to Reading. The whole matter (how the the information was communicated and the implications and ramifications of the move) was handled in an extremely unprofessional manner. This decision felt like a slap in the face for members of the London team because the career path & progression which was mutually agreed was no longer an option. The company also chose that exact moment in time to change the management structure / reporting structure which meant that the manager and director that I reported into were instructed / compelled to cease their involvement and 'wash their hands of the matter'. This meant that questions, queries and concerns about the office mover and its implications had to be raised / addressed with a manager that had started THAT MORNING. The company offered absolutely no assistance or incentives to members of the London team to encourage them to consider the move to Reading as a viable option (home working or home based / promotion / flexibility in working hours / increased salary for example)
