Work Life Balance: Working 8 hours a day at Turner is the expectations, working 10 hours a day is acceptable, and working +12 hours will likely get you into some trouble Office: Construction is notorious for understaffing jobs and overworking employees. I have never felt this way at Turner. This is the most redeeming quality from my perspective since I know Turner loses work because they are heavier than the competition in staff costs. Safety & Quality: Because Turner jobs are staffed APPROPRIATELY, it leads to better quality construction and safer job sites. Obviously this is a generalization, but it is true a better staffed job is going to have move involvement from engineering staff and more presence in the field. Diversity: in an industry full of white men, it is incredible how successful HR is at creating a diverse staff. It's very refreshing to have people with different background in the office, and Turner is relentless with that pursuit.

Pay: Turner is middle-of-the-road for pay. The only caveat to this is they are consistent and above the norm in merit based increases. You will likely make less at Turner starting, but their review process makes it very easy to get above average increases yearly. I made less than my peers when I start with Turner, but I've sense passed most of them. Either way, it wasn't easy to take less money at the start.
