Great salary and benefits, engaged staff, fantastic mandate
Svantaggi
Too political, new senior management is not great, impossible to grow if not connected with the highest echelon of the corporate ladder (or not from the right regional group), mediocre/politicized change management processes

We have two dedicated colleagues working on career development to help staff achieve their career goals. UNFPA has a Career Guide for UNFPA Staff/ Former Staff Members http://www.unfpa.org/resources/career-guide-unfpa-staff-members which may be of help. We have created a Change Secretariat with a focus on process improvement and change management in order to maximize our efficiency and impact. We are committed to continuously improving as an organization and feel confident that the changes processes underway will allow us to better deliver on our mandate.
Remote work, mission-driven, name recognition of the UN. Workload was not overwhelming, leading to good work-life balance.
Svantaggi
The most disorganized organization I've ever worked for. Consultants were treated inhumanely - denied basic labor rights. Constant backbiting among team leaders pitted consultants against each other. Problems with incredibly easy solutions spiraled out of control due to the complete incompetency of leaders. Racist/colonialist mindset a major issue at HQ.
