Vantaggi
• Amazing Benefits - You'll be hard-pressed to find a company with better benefits. • Job Security - When we went through a recession, you'll still get about 75% of the hours before the recession. Also, you are part of a union and that will make it mission impossible for them to fire you. You basically need to go apeshit to lose your job. • Tuition Reimbursement - I took advantage of this program and was able to get half of my undergrad paid for. • Pay Is Not Bad - Once you get some seniority, you'll start to make pretty good money even without a college education. • It's a very structured and methodical company
Svantaggi
• Difficult Beginnings - When you just get started with the company, you'll start out at about minimum wage and will be getting very few hours/Wk. • Hard Laboring Work - It's hard on your body as you'll get older! If you don't have a good work ethic, you are lazy or like things easy, and have a lack of disciplined or you are not mentally strong, you will suffer and probably won't last for long. If you don't last for long, you will not realize all the good stuff the company has to offer. There is a lot of good stuff! • Management Vs. Hourly Employee Battle - Just like star wars, it's the never-ending saga! Management (The Dark Side) will push production and they will be on you like white on rice! It's a very production driven company. • December Will Suck - You'll never get time off or vacation after Thanksgiving. Also, if you are looking to stay with the company, make sure you don't start out as a seasonal employee or in the 4th quarter of the year. You'll need to pass 90 days probation period. So think about it, if you start in that 90-day range from the end of the year, they probably will lay you off right after Christmas (which is when the volume dies down, really dies down) unless you are a Spartan of course (they'll love you if you are one).
