      You get to travel, working hard become part of who you are, you meet some great people, it really changes the way you see life (for some people at least), free school

      long hours, being in the maintenance field sucks, you have to work out side.. regardless of the weather (I'm talking about -30 plus windchill cold), you need to have thick skin or you will get eaten alive

      Getting 2.5days of accrued leave per month is nice, which adds up over time. You can request leave whenever within your schedule and it won't be denied.

      Not too much structure when it comes to squadron training. Depends on your squadron but leadership can really determine your experience.
