Favoritism, poor leadership. The only people that advance are people that want to be political. Hard workers get more work and passed over for opportunities while people that work the politics get all the perks. If you are a hard worker, hire on with the USMS, do your fed time for a few years, but transfer to another agency that will take better care of their employees, and provide better leadership.
