Vantaggi

401k 6% match, health, dental, and vision are very good, 4 yearly Universal Parks tickets, but you need to be there with your guests. Sharing of resources and strategy with SYFY network because it's under 1 President. Both networks have shared employees.

Svantaggi

Management micromanages very capable, intelligent employees as if they don't trust them in Production, On-air, Social and Digital departments. Computers could be updated more frequently. Most are at least 4-6 years old and slow.

Vantaggi

-Probably the best work culture I’ve ever been apart of in regards to personal development. Everyone is encouraged to bring their best selves to work. Free workshops and surprise snacks are constantly offered. -People are very friendly and eager to support each other. -In the department I was in, everyone from high executive levels to coordinators and interns could debate as equals during staff meetings. -Huge cubicles. I unfortunately have heard are getting replaced, but that was part of my experience. -Great overtime perks such as free rides home. -I trusted the direction of the network and the president.

Svantaggi

-Constant micromanagement from upper management. Every little decision I made was vetted by directors and VPs. -For any documents I created, how aesthetically pleasing they were was just as, if not more important than the information on the document. I wasted a lot of time just trying to make documents look fancy. -Very few advancement opportunities. Not only that, but it’s hard to gain skills for the next level of your career with all of the micromanaging going on. -It felt like there was an unspoken rule that stated that if you didn’t stay late, it showed you weren’t putting in your best effort. People would wait at least 10 minutes or more after their hours were done before leaving.
