Vantaggi
I had the opportunity to work alongside some very smart, very fun people. Customers seem to like the product and keep coming back for more.
Svantaggi
This company has a "Men's Club" mentality. Almost every girl who has worked for the company under new management has either quit or been fired within the last two years. It is rare that they hire females - when I left, there were 39 employees in the Redmond office and 36 of those employees were men. Good employees often get stuck covering for co-workers who are slackers. Management does not discipline or fire any of their employees so you can pretty much get away with anything. This philosophy is good for the lazy workers, but difficult for those who take pride in their jobs. It is not an uncommon practice to "reward" lazy employees by pawning off their work to the harder working employees. Select members of upper management have very little understanding of how "lower" tiered employees contribute to the team. They claim understanding but when push comes to shove, they have no idea what you actually do or what your job entails. The morale throughout the company is extremely low despite repeated attempts to make employees more comfortable and happy. There are many obvious things that could be done to improve morale, but certain members of upper management adamantly oppose spending the money to make the necessary improvements.
