Client service isn't a top priority of upper management. Organization uses metrics which has proven to not be the best approach (check out articles in Harvard Business Review). We've had employees leave in the client service area who we can't replace yet we're continuing to hire more salespeople. We are so overloaded with work. The company is getting rid of people in the specialty practices & moving more work to account service teams. Expenses are scrutinized so much that the company is considered cheap to employees and well as outsiders. Don't expect to stay in the same hotels as clients or meeting members unless you want to pay the difference in the company's approved hotel rate out of your own pocket.
