When you have managers who believe in the DO things are great. You get to bring fresh ideas to the table, make decisions to help your customers, and raise concerns in a safe environment. Once your manager is run out by the new regime, everything you enjoyed becomes a distant memory. Empowerment becomes micro managing, ethics disappear, and you become regularly beat down over even the smallest of mistakes or opinions. The new direction of the company puts the customer and the almighty dollar in front of literally everything else. They've forgotten to take care of the people who serve their customers on a daily basis. I'm now simply a customer, and I am more appreciated and valued than I was as an employee.
