Ever Increasing scope/expectations and constantly fluctuating priorities are not something I'd expect at a company that size. I sat at four desks in my first month and it took me two months to get my first meeting with one of my managers. It's not uncommon to have actual "do this or leave" situations, mostly ending with people attempting the task and then being asked to leave.
