Vantaggi
-some amazing people who are passionate about the work -decent benefits like vacation and personal days
Svantaggi
-an all-white senior leadership that continues to gaslight team members, clearly don't know what the're doing and when confronted in company wide AMAs, didn't even acknowledge the raised issues and lived experiences by their employees -a clueless, delusional, all-male engineering management who are so disconnected from the day to day reality faced by their teams. It's no surprise their direct reports don't actually feel safe and comfortable to tell the truth to them -a engineering structure that continues to hire more managers and get them to ensure, control, delegate making more and more difficult to build safety and accountability with teams -there is a serious lack of coordinated planning as product delivery teams are so reactive that its become such a struggle to actually put things in front of customers -claims to be "people first" but continues small aspects of the culture like referring to people as "resources" which begs the question is the company actually "Resource first?" instead? -very disingenuous people & culture team, who don't actually want to deal with the difficult conversations or assist team members in handling toxic behavior from managers when it is raised to them -rapid promotions for white people and senior white leaders all the while BIPOC employees especially women are overlooked and have been leaving the company to get well deserved promotions elsewhere -the stated Unbounce values such as "Being Real" are an absolute joke since direct, open and honest feedback is hardly ever shared, instead "being nice and polite" is the norm above all else -there is a prevalence of "assume positive intent" to the point of toxic positivity, where it ends up being a cover for behaviour that has real negative effects on employees -psychological safety is almost non-existent in some teams and is evidenced by employees not being comfortable to ask questions, not feeling safe to raise concerns around timelines and in general avoiding difficult conversations -the culture has turned into the kind of toxic and uncomfortable environment where there is always the private DMs or the "meetings after the meeting" to actually talk about whats going on as opposed to openly discussing challenges
