Better burn up your vacation or collect unemployment. Kids are graduating? Cool, hope they enjoy the ceremony without you. You will most likely work every holiday, and for at least 20 years only have a weekend off when you take vacation. For 30+ years you are a piece of equipment. Once you accept that, you come to understand why this place does nothing to help the work life balance.
