You are solving meaningful problems for one customer rather than bouncing between accounts constantly. The technical work was engaging and kept me sharp

Compensation was the weak spot. Pay sat below market rate for the role and skillset. Not drastically, but noticeably. Engineers with strong backgrounds should be aware of that going in and negotiate accordingly.
