Vantaggi
The coworkers I work with and even most of the management and tpm's I interact with are really friendly. A lot of them are very open and cool. They are often really understanding too. I really like the vibes in office and interacting with people.
I really like the work that I do. That is subjective though. I feel really accomplished and like I can really grow in skill with the work I am doing. I like learning :).
I LOVE EMBEDDED SOFTWARE!!!!! I LOVE TASKS AND PUZZLES AND LOGIC!!!! I genuinely really like all the tasks and work I do and I love having a bit more freedom to do things I know I am good at and want to learn and enjoy doing, especially if I get free time while waiting for a task block. Maybe that is just because my manager is cool, but still.
There is support from *direct* managers, like the tpm's for the project you are on.
9/80 schedule :D!!

Svantaggi
- Disorganized. Who answers to who. Backlog for a lot of the projects are a mess. A lot of documentation (especially older documentation) is in archives and have to been hunted down.
- They claim to be a scum/agile company but they are doing scum/agile completely wrong. The way they do it results in a lot of Disorganization as well as A LOT of overloading. I have been overloaded to the point of sickness before.
- Meeting lengths are way too long to. Stand-ups should be 10 minutes tops, not 30-45 minutes. We don't need to go through the entire backlog, just what people were working on since the last stand up.
- Bad Healthcare Benefits. UMR United is over priced and bad.
- Lack of appreciation/support from upper management. I am tired of hearing "You need to work harder" every company-wide meeting, especially since I regularly work overtime and pick up extra tasks and develop ideas for UA. Sometimes it feels like we are being taken advantage of, only to be told how little we actually matter and how we can all easily be replaced. I enjoy finishing my work, it gives me a sense of accomplishment; but it is burning me out.
- The yearly raises aren't in line with inflation. Not great bonuses either.
- While the regular employees and direct managers are open and respectful to different kinds of people, a lot of upper management aren't.
- Stop saying we are a hybrid company, we are not a hybrid company. It is ok to say we are an in-person company on our career website. Nothing wrong with that.
