Please apply here. You'll fit right in. - If you think, tech is too SJW or PC these days and would rather work somewhere, where management doesn't give a damn about getting people to act like adults. This is will be your dream job.

- The office in itself is dark and poorly ventilated. People often get sick and the sickness takes multiple rounds. People are forced to not take sick leaves - Given it's only 10 days a year and HR gets uneasy and monitor down to your sickness episodes. - Line managers have no control or act like they've got no control. Often they tell you one thing but don't hold their ground when it really matters like reviews and salary compensation. - Often promotions are limited to only 1 person per team. So if you have multiple people doing really well, they pit you against one another saying only 1 of you can get promoted and get a pay hike - The culture is very top down, it's all good if you're a unicorn. The loudest voice wins the argument and people in leadership team talk about you behind your back. - It's not uncommon for Head of Something to come in and say, Look at this crappy code and this is awful, while the person who wrote the code is sat right across. Feedback is often shared in front of everyone and people in people management have no management skills. - Don't believe if someone says you can WFH depending on the team. It's a hard pass and frowned upon. - Top heavy decisions. Often asked to meet unrealistic KPIs

Thanks for sharing your experiences. It’s great to hear that you appreciated our benefits and perks, but it’s a shame to hear that you had such a bad experience in other ways. We completely agree that feedback is vital to make improvements, but that it’s just as important to deliver that feedback constructively and appropriately. We’re in the process of making some significant changes to our performance management processes, including rolling out clear and measurable ways of working to link to personal objectives, and more support and training for people managers in the art of delivering feedback and developing their teams. Just like every other business that has grown as rapidly as we have, as quickly as we have, we know we’re not perfect and that there’s always room for improvement - we hope we continue to move things in the right direction.
