To say everything about my terrible experience here would take up multiple paragraphs and probably more than anyone want to read. However, I will say simply a few things. Note that I am not averse to hard work, nor a difficult person or high maintenance. Turnover was exceptionally high, with some employees lasting mere months. This can be verified by viewing their blog posts for frequent job openings at a very small company, or by viewing past versions of their employee pages. Reading the review on here by management themselves is eye opening into the way they think -- viewing themselves as beyond reproach, but blaming everyone else for failures. Compensation is far below average. Sick time and vacation was 25-50% less than most places, and pay was at least 35% less than what I've earned elsewhere since. Finally, the way I was treated was so awful, I began developing panic attacks while here. Miraculously, they disappeared when I left. I have never dealt with people that treated me that poorly, that were as disingenuous, micromanaging, and duplicitous before or since.

As a successful design company, we continually strive for a great working environment, and honestly feel we go out of our way to take care of our employees — both on a professional level and personal level. Not only do we care for our team on a daily basis, we truly value our team members from every point of view, getting to know each person individually, and support them as much as possible to allow them to thrive. While we do expect our employees to contribute 100%, V2Works still focuses very hard to cultivate a cheerful, creative atmosphere where our designers can sit down at their desk every day and feel satisfied with the work, as well as the organization. V2Works has spent over 23 years building a company that works hard, and also expects our employees to do the same. But, we balance that with playing hard too. Our play-hard team activities such as massage days, movie days, bowling, golf, foosball games, and weekly lunches out, foster a fun, creative, family-centric environment for all, while balancing out the work-hard days. We also perpetuate a satisfying work-life balance, where our team members come first and reap the rewards of a balanced lifestyle. We truly believe that people should love what they do, look forward to coming to work every day, and be happy with where they are. As such, we have always maintained that people should be happy in life no matter what, and if they are not happy at V2Works, because we sincerely care about them as individuals, we will readily wish them well on their own personal endeavors. Despite the fact that you were regrettably unhappy, we do wish you the greatest happiness and success in the future.

What's not to like as a professional designer when you have a variety of clients and brands to work for on a daily basis? The small agency environment adds to the integral role you play in whatever position you're working in. You won't be a lost cog in a machine here and you'll feel like part of the family so long as you can keep up with the fast pace.

Maybe you won't like starting work at 7am... Then again, you get off at 4pm. You be the judge.

I love working here for many reasons. There is little to no stress — no mandatory late night and weekend work (in 2.5 years, I've had to work late twice). Show up on time, do your work, go home — easy as that. They truly care about us like family. We have summer outings, massage day, weekly group lunches, month end happy hour, and the best employee Christmas Party I have ever been to. I always feel like I can talk to management about anything at any time and if I have an issue, it will be resolved calmly and professionally. At this moment, I love the dynamic of the office. We can work seemlessly together and you don't have to jump through hoops and get something approved by 8 levels of management. Everyone has a positive outlook and is ready to help out with anything. All levels are included in creative sessions and everyone feels welcome and that their opinion is valued. I had very limited experience and they took a chance with me. I have grown by leaps and bounds. I learn something new everyday and am grateful for it all. As I learn new things, my salary has reflected that with an 132% increase in 2 years. If you have the right attitude, work hard, have a sense of humor, and have attention to detail, I’m sure you will be a great fit here.

I wish we had sick time that wasn't part of PTO. If I have the plague, I don't want to have to choose between getting everyone sick and going on vacation. Because then everyone will be sick!

Thank you so much for your thoughts and being part of the V2 Team. We try very hard to make people here feel valued, just as if they indeed were family. We work just as to make sure we all have fun. As far as the PTO goes, that has been looked as both ways. We have had employees that at the end of the year had unused sick leave. With PTO, that time can now be used as vacation!
