Still a wonderful company after all these years. I am well taken care of as an expat in Singapore - first home rental fully paid by the company was a lovely massive duplex apartment just outside the city near the gorgeous Botanic Gardens and away from the hustle and bustle of the masses! Great quality international school for my teenager and she is happy. Salary, and perks are very generous for expats with plenty of opportunities to travel in the region and to the US on business class. Work is easy as I have a motivated, empowered team in the regional offices to handle local issues and complexities.

Hiring Singaporeans for roles within teams is difficult, as males have to do national service which is inconvenient and unnecessary in my opinion. Would appreciate more flexibility, or alternatively to hire from overseas. Unfortunately business is taking a turn for the worse but as an expat fortunately I do not anticipate being impacted in the near term.

The checks clear, the bathrooms are clean, and the building remains structurally intact. Expectations are so low that basic competence can feel like overachievement. Great environment for anyone looking to strengthen their tolerance for nonsense. You’ll leave with a much clearer sense of where not to work next.

Low-watt culture with very little sharp thinking. Advancement appears to depend more on internal politics than talent or results. Product decisions are driven by cost cutting to an almost self-defeating degree. Marketing exists, but not in a way that suggests conviction, creativity, or relevance. The company’s biggest weakness is not capability but unwillingness: an outright refusal to innovate. Good people will likely feel underused, unheard, or pushed out.
