- Pivotal just does everything right - they really do care for their employees and about doing the right thing. - Leadership is approachable and is always asking for feedback (which they act on). - They take D&I seriously. Whenever a leadership role opens up, an email goes out to the entire company. They state they will not close the applications for the role until at least 2 people from underrepresented backgrounds apply. For the folks they don't select, they give constructive feedback.

None of them are cons for me, but I can imagine the top ones for most engineers would be: - It's very 9-6.* For some engineers, this is too early or too rigid of a schedule. - It's not super remote friendly. You can certainly work remotely sometimes, but if that's a big part of your current lifestyle, that would be hard to maintain. - You pair 100% of the time. * Varies by office. Some offices do 8-5, etc.
