There are some colleagues that are friendly and approachable. Good initiatives in progress and there is a focus of knowing everyone

This is not a good place for professional experienced hires as there is a fixed mindset of how things are done and the unwillingness of some teams on how to innovate. There is always new people joining at the same time as leavers that leave this in a break-even state that is disruptive, and results in inefficiencies to move towards scaling the business. It is a constant revolving door of one in, three out. There is a strong lack of diversity of cultures, as well skills as it seems to hire a lot of young professionals starting their career versus those with experience insights that grow the business. Validus is always trying to scale with limited expertise and it shows in how staff have little to no work-life balance; often clocking long hours past 9pm and having difficulities in prioritising due to overpromising delivery. Also, there is a heavy drinking culture in this place that often feels like it is a contininous social pub crawl disguised as a fintech which is a contributor to work-life balance being askew. Lastly, this place is not a good place for team work - often people are left to figure out the role with minimal to little training/incentives and focus on independent working which becomes unclear of expectations and any means of development.

Great Culture. Tech team is great.
