Vantaggi

+ You get to work with PBD, Tom, and some really cool business owners. To this day, some of the coolest people I've ever met came from Valuetainment. The network is unmatched. + PBD is a great guy. HE DOES lead from the front. You work your butt off, but so does he. + Adam is amazing + Tom is very nice- could listen more to feedback & others ideas, but is very nice and always looks to deliver value to customers and employees. Learn from him if you work there. + This is a GREAT company for expanding your network- be prepared to sacrifice everything for it though (which brings us to the cons)...

Svantaggi

(Skip to the end for the worst part of the experience) - Forget work/life balance. This is much more of a lifestyle (or cult as some say) than a company. Your friends will be from Valuetainment, your family will be from VT, you'll eat, breathe, sleep VT. It's not uncommon to work from 9 to 9 M-F, then throw in 5 to 10 hours on Saturday and/or Sunday. I would get texts regularly on Saturday nights (the latest at 11pm) asking me to do something, even if I set boundaries. The hours caused such crazy high stress that I gained 25 pounds in the first 3 months of working there. - The comp wasn't great. The pay is low and nobody gets equity- which for how hard people work, they really should. To be fair, I've heard the pay structure has changed, but when I was there the pay was literally $2k/month + commission (and commission wasn't that high bc of splits). *Note- PBD says he gave equity to people at his life insurance company. He did, kinda. He still owned 82% when he sold it, according to an interview I heard. I heard how much some other long standing employees made after selling PHP and it was in the low six figures. That's great, except for when you've literally given up everything for this (including for some leaders, their marriage). - Your sales manager splits 50% of your deals if they help at all- unless that's changed, but I don't think it has. So, to get your manager to help you, they end up taking half of all your commission- JUST FOR HELP! That's not good leadership. A good sales org gives managers just a 5% override and that incentivizes them to lead and help others be successful. *If you work here in sales, stay long enough to become a manager. They make a TON of money. You'll be scraping by until then, but you can then get paid. - **The worst part** Similar to other reviews, I saw lots of bullying. I've never seen so many people cry, scream, yell, and be frustrated at work IN MY LIFE. People are stressed beyond belief to meet deadlines and meet expectations, and this causes people to set unrealistic expectations, make many mistakes, and be mean to other people. **Need proof? Look at the replies to negative feedback here on Glassdoor. There's so much defensiveness in VT's responses- not saying, "We'll investigate this, sorry for your experience" but rather, "If you don't want to work hard [ie, 24/7], you're not for us" and "You must have misheard or misunderstood." There's very little acceptance of feedback. I'm all for hard work, but the culture is beyond hard work. **I cannot emphasize how bad the culture is and the bullying. There's a group chat for ex-VT employees who share about how crazy their experiences are. I am no longer apart of it since I still respect the VT content, PBD, Tom, and Adam, but it was crazy to read. So why do people work there? - If you want to meet PBD, Tom, or anyone else there - If you want to work LITERALLY 24/7 - If you want to expand your network with incredible people

Fully supports innovation, high standards, mission / vision oriented, everyday is a new suprise, family like environment/culture

Svantaggi

If you are not bought into the culture, you will not be a fit here. Being an employee here is being apart of something bigger than yourself.

Vantaggi

In the source of truth, there are a lot of pros working here. From understanding everyone has blind spots including myself, to receiving not just motivation but strategies that some companies pay thousands of dollars to be a part of. You inclusively feel like you are part of a movement and a company that has a lot of vision. PBD has a huge following and respect in the industry so there is alot to learn and take from when it comes to business acumen here. Management and peers drive together and make sure you are not left behind and are not afraid to call areas that need improvement. Company is growing and constantly looking for people to step up. Personal Development is a big driver here so be ready to be challenged to find your next you.

Svantaggi

From Day 1 it is known that there is no work/life balance, there is work/life integration. Not a bad thing if you are looking for this, as company drives with family values. Not just you, but your family will need to be bought in to the mission and what your goals are here with this company. It is "Highly encouraged" to come on weekends so do not expect this to be a 9-6. There will be alot of early mornings but more late nights. It is normal to put in 12 hour days including a few hours every Saturday. The commission structure is slow to ramp up and see it beneficial if you are able to outlast the first year.
