Svantaggi
1- HOURLY and SALARY. Greedy greedy. Hired as salary, but treated like hourly. I was really excited about leaving the clock in/clock out world of bedside nursing, however Vatica micromanages your time even more than I could imagine. They have an actual timer on you, counting every second of every day. They have productivity metrics AND time metrics you have to meet. They sell it to you as "flexible" because you can work 8 hours anytime between 6am-10pm, however they are always watching. They are clearly taking advantage of employees by forcing them to meet productivity requirements and also micromanaging every second of their day. They introduced something called "administrivia time" which allowed you an hour a day you didn't have to account for to do tasks related to the job such as emailing offices, calling offices etc and made sure we knew this was their gift to us. We had multiple town halls and meetings about these 5 hours per week, how to use them etc. Then they proceeded to change the policy, taking away the 5 hour wording without any notice to us whatsoever, resulting in some people getting emails from HR stating they were below the requirements for the week having worked 37-38 hours. What a sneaky way to get people in trouble. If you want a salary job where you can actually work hard without being micromanaged every second of the day, this I not the job for you. 2- CLUELESS management. Everything goes in one ear and out the other. There is no point in raising concerns because you will be gaslighted. I tried several times to submit all of these concerns I am sharing and was made to feel bad and stupid for thinking this way. They treat us so poorly then not even a day later post about how great the company is doing. I've never seen a more dense leadership team at any company I've worked for. They have no idea how upset every single nurse is that works there. 3- PAY/BONUS- Let's call this... "incentive-gate" because truly it's giving major Watergate vibes. When I was hired they were giving out yearly bonuses for meeting your goals/metrics, doing a good job etc. Well they decided that they wanted to "give us the privilege of making more money (see gaslighting comment above)" by taking away bonuses and replacing it with an incentive program where we could produce extra charts and earn money for that work. So, just in case you're confused by this, as you should be, yes they took away bonuses for doing a good job but are GIFTING us the potential to do more work for them and paying us for it. I was so insulted by this I chose not to participate and am so glad I didn't... because... hold on it's getting juicy...they accidentally overpaid everyone who participated and are now taking it all back from them. They made it impossible to know what you were supposed to be earning for this extra work by creating an algorithm that even they couldn't understand, as evidenced by their error, and then have the audacity to take money back from their employees to the tune of THOUSANDS of dollars that people put in overtime for. Oh wait, don't use the word overtime, you'll get scolded and reminded that by definition salary employees owe the company upwards of 50 hours per week, but they are kind enough to only ask for 40 hours (their exact words). Again, remember the whole gaslighting sitch? Gaslight level expert. I really could go on and on but I'll summarize with this: If you are a person who doesn't want to feel good about their work, who has no desire to work for a company that respects them and is just looking to stay in your PJs all day and work from home then this may be the gig for you. However if you like to take pride in your work, uphold your self-worth and not have to battle a micromanaging culture that rivals communism then stay far far away from this company. I spend every day feeling nothing but undervalued, insulted and they have made it impossible to do a good job. DO NOT APPLY TO WORK HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. Every single person I work with is actively looking for another job.
