In my role, I get to talk to colleagues across the organization and have yet to encounter anyone who's not professional, kind, or helpful. Everyone truly lives up to the "teamwork" Vector value. My supervisor is supportive and understands the importance of work-life balance. As a hybrid employee, I go into the office a few times a week, which is great, but my team also understands if there are weeks someone needs to be fully remote. The company offers a nice benefits package, including unlimited PTO. HR makes a real effort to keep expanding the offerings, too. There are constant requests for employee feedback from HR and the C-suite, and they implement changes based on that feedback.

From our CEO down, we actively solicit employee feedback and routinely have 90% or more participation in our engagement surveys. We also hold ourselves accountable to implement improvements based on team members’ feedback. We evaluate our employee benefits package against industry benchmarks, which include unlimited PTO, and the Human Resources team continues to expand these offerings where possible. We will continue to evaluate and have the conversations around diversity, and we appreciate your feedback.

It's a job and some of the people are great, remote/hybrid work for some employees

There is literally zero incentive to work hard or even try above the bare minimum. No real career paths or progression, no bonuses, nothing. Individual goals mean nothing and do not connect to larger company goals. Leadership is feckless and has to revisit the same decision constantly or has to make a decision involving way more people than necessary which means the final decision is bloated and difficult to operationalize. The company goals are not clear at all so work priorities constantly shift to whatever leadership has most recently decided, through a committee, is most important. There is basically nothing in terms of company culture. People don't talk to each other about anything. There is no fun in Teams channels. This probably stems from all of the above, that people do not feel at all connected to the company because they know they are not going to get anything out of it. Oh, and the benefits are abysmal.

We also understand the concern around shifting priorities. Like many companies, Vector operates in an ever-changing economic landscape. As market needs evolve, we have to evaluate and adjust priorities to keep the business growing, serve our customers well, and support the team members who drive our success. We will not dismiss feedback simply because it is difficult to read. We have meaningful work, a strong team, and a lot to be proud of, but we also have work to do. We appreciate your perspective and will continue working to make Vector a better place to build a career.
