Every day at Venn introduces new challenges and opportunities - I've been at the company for many years and no day is the same. This is incredibly exciting and motivating. We're tackling big problems with a lean team and the attitude is hands on, no job is too big or too small for anyone.
The team is kind and compassionate as is leadership; employees are expected to work hard but are given, autonomy and empowered to contribute and take ownership. Teams are collaborative and non-competitive and work towards shared goals as opposed to striving for personal recognition or achievement.
There is no shortage of work and people do work hard and long, but there's a lot of trust and flexibility given to team members. If you have a doctor's appointment, family obligation, need to work from home one day etc, that's fine. The understanding is you're an adult and you'll make sure your work gets done when it needs to.
There's a strong culture of optimism and ambition - I think it stems from leadership but it permeates the entire company. The feeling is we are on the cusp of doing big, innovative things as a company and making waves in the industry.

We are very much building the rocket ship while we're flying it so process and planning can take the backseat to momentum. Depending on personality type or past work experience, this can be frustrating for some team members. You need to be flexible to succeed at Venn and also know when to push your agenda/process and when to switch gears.
It's a global team with team members across multiple time zones so direct, real time communication and alignment can be challenging. Related to that, the majority of the US-based team is located in NYC though there are some members who work remotely. That dynamic could be isolating for the remote team.
