Work life balance - This is preached everywhere, yet 60 hours is the norm and expect to work weekends too. Lack of response time from buyers - 2 weeks to get responses is unacceptable and cost me sales. It was incredibly frustrating to wait this long, then convert an order. Go place an order, and then the buyer tells you it doesn't meet minimums. It would be good to include this information on quotes and have some transparency. Lack of accountability from suppliers - sometimes 3-4 calls are required to get pricing Lack of transparency on commissions for a new company Veritiv acquired Extreme micromanagement POOR training program - 10 weeks of training, mainly on psychology of selling and how great Veritiv is. Very little training on systems, processes, and daily functions of your job.
