Vantaggi
You can learn a lot, really quickly. You're expected to hit the ground running and no one will be there to guide you, the job can be what you make of it. Smart and kind coworkers. Cool product and great mission.
Svantaggi
The company doesn't care about its employees at all. Turnover is extremely high, and management refuses to change anything despite feedback. Via spends an exorbitant amount of resources on hiring but does nothing about retention. If anything, loyalty feels disincentivized. Compensation is way below market price, and the constant pitch "we reward hard work when we see it" is just a nice way to phrase that there's no promotion or raise processes. Most people wait and fight for up to a year before getting burned out. The only thing you will be rewarded with is more work from people who have left. Senior management decisions and the politics of this company are questionable (announcing acquisitions while raises have been put on pause for months), and good luck if you have any concerns you want to bring to HR as it's run by three close friends. No company culture, ERGs or any work sponsored event seem to be employee driven. Via takes advantage of employees' emotional labor. Also, lack of diversity, there's only three POC in any senior positions. HR addressed this during the interview process as "we're working on it", but have yet to see any effort.
