They have cut benefits over the last year, including 401k matching and annual merit increases. Leadership claims they don’t understand how/why morale is low, but employees are not recognized for their work and the investment the company could be making into its current employees is directed towards hiring new people. There have been countless reorgs since I started, at least four iterations of layoffs (these layoffs affected multiple employees, the layoff in January cut approximately 50 individuals from a 500 person staff), and several directional changes that have led us nowhere. Leadership will not tell us what metric or goal we need to hit in order to bring 401k matching back, which makes me believe they’re simply seeing who will tolerate basic benefits being stripped from their compensation. I don’t know anyone in this company below VP level who genuinely likes working here and it’s just getting worse.
