1. Aggressive leadership that lacks empathy, company lacks it in their values. 2. Lack of empathy is something systemic and is not just within the leadership but also their subordinates. I remember once an employee was let go after 3 yrs of service and I asked my newly promoted lead about the reason. He said with giggles that the person was let go because some people believed that he didn’t take a shower for days. This was when the entire company was working from home during covid. The same employee landed a much senior role elsewhere. 3. Directed peer review feedback and PIPs are misused to retaliate against someone and there’s no company policy to prevent this. 4. Getting no raise in a year is very common 5. Executives don’t seem involved much with what the leadership does 6. Serious diversity issues and a place for extrovert survival.

As we care deeply about the experience of our employees, we are disappointed to hear about your experience. You mentioned empathy, and we agree with the importance of empathy too, especially in these years of unrelentingly uncertain times. Our Talent team facilitates monthly workshops for our people leaders to coach on topics like leading with empathy, supporting teams through uncertain times and developing employees, just to name a few. We want our employees to feel supported and we feel through our committed and caring leadership team we are working to achieve that. We will review the incident you mentioned to ensure all employees and matters pertaining to employees are treated confidentiality, fairly, with kindness and compassion. Compensation at Vidyard is reviewed annually to ensure we offer compensation competitive in the markets we operate in. Annual increases are based on market changes and rewarding individual performance. The Executive team collaborates with Senior Leadership to set a transparent strategy map each fiscal along with quarterly objectives and key results and empower the various teams with the autonomy to accomplish their goals. We hope that provides some clarity on how the Executive team is involved. You also mentioned the involvement of Executives in interviews. For some teams/hires the CTO or CEO is the final interviewer and adds high level vision and input as well answers candidate questions. For our existing employees, we do connect with them prior to their exit to gain their valuable insights into the employee experience. We are sorry to hear your feedback about diversity and belonging.
