Svantaggi
- Little to no work/life balance. Days are long and you will work every Saturday, Expect to work on average 55 hours per week and work 6 days every other week. If you're busy, you'll often end up eating lunch at your desk. You will also be expected to work overtime if it suits the needs of the business. Do not expect to get paid for this extra time. - Many equivalent motor groups have far more flexible work patterns/fewer hours for either the same or more pay. - Excessive number of CRM platforms and processing systems creates inefficiency and a time burden on sales people, turning your job into a box ticking exercise rather than focussing on the task at hand. This also results in directors monitoring your performance based purely on quantitative metrics while any qualitative feedback from those on the ground is seemingly disregarded. - The majority of the HR department was recently laid off, with HR functions then being localised within dealerships. Therefore, if you have concerns or issues that you don't feel comfortable going to your line manager about, tough. - Training and development is minimal. You'll likely get thrown in the deep end and be expected to sink or swim. ''We'll train you well enough to be able to leave, but treat you well enough to want to stay'' was the promise offered on induction. The reality is that you'll get just enough training to do your job, and then be so buried in hours that you won't have time to look elsewhere. - Targets are firm. If it's a slow year and existing targets become unrealistic, don't expect to make much more than your basic salary. - Gary (Chairman) will occasionally make a site visit unannounced, and make sure not to leave without having something to moan about. Inspiring!
